Custom Fields
The Custom Fields tab in Asset Management allows administrators to create and manage additional fields for different asset-related sections. This feature provides flexibility to capture organization-specific information that is not available in the default asset forms. Custom fields can be added for sections such as Asset Registration, Scanned Assets, and Asset Allocation/Deallocation, making the asset management process more customizable and structured.
To create a custom field, select the required Section/Page where the field should appear, enter the Field Name, and choose the appropriate Control Type (such as Text Box or Drop Down). Users can define whether validation is required by selecting Yes or No, and can also mark the field as Mandatory or Optional. The Status option allows the field to be kept Active or Inactive based on business requirements. After entering the details, click Submit to save the custom field or Reset to clear the entries.
The lower grid displays all existing custom fields along with their configuration details such as section name, field name, control type, validation rules, mandatory settings, and status. The Actions column allows users to edit or modify existing fields.
