Change of Work Location

In the Visitor Management System, the "My Details" section under the Employee Summary tab displays the current Work Location associated with the logged-in user. This work location determines the context in which visitor data is filtered and displayed across the system.

For example, if the user’s location is set to Navi Mumbai, the Visitor Dashboard will only display visits scheduled or managed by that user for that location. This includes guests they have invited, upcoming appointments, and check-in/check-out logs relevant to that site.

Changing the work location has a direct and immediate impact on the visitor data shown.

For instance, if the user updates their work location to Kolkata, the dashboard will refresh to fetch visitor entries linked to Kolkata. If no visitors have been scheduled or registered by that user at the new location, the dashboard will appear empty—even if there are active visits in the previous location.

This design ensures data relevance and operational clarity—particularly for organizations with multiple office sites. It prevents confusion by only showing location-specific visits, helping employees manage visitor flow based on their actual working site. It also enhances security and compliance by ensuring visitor tracking is localized and isolated per site.

In summary: The work location functions as both a filter and an access control mechanism within the Visitor Dashboard. For users working across multiple branches, it is important to ensure the correct location is selected when reviewing or managing visitor records.
